Borderland Pride to hold Community Engagement Event

Media Release |

Fort Frances, ON - Borderland Pride is beginning the planning process for Pride Week 2019 - the second edition of our community's landmark summer celebration of LGBTQ2 diversity and inclusion.

Pride is powered by public participation. Area residents from both sides of the border are invited to the Shaw Room of the Fort Frances Public Library on Wednesday, February 13 at 7 PM, where Pride organizers will kick-off the planning process by reviewing the week of festivities from in 2018, and collecting input and feedback for our 2019 roster of events. We will also review Borderland Pride's finances, goals, and objectives.

Locals interested in volunteering or helping to coordinate any particular events, promotions, or contests during Pride Week are encouraged to attend - even if you're not sure exactly what type of involvement you would like to have at this point.

Organizers are looking to hold Pride Week in June this year (rather than July) in order to coincide with Pride Month and the school year.
